Mountain Biking and Hiking
The greater area of La Ventana and El Sargento offers well maintained trails for mountain biking. Trails range from easy to difficult and bikes can be rented from La Ventana Windsports or Rancho Cacachilas Bike Hub.
Kayaking
Kayaking is one of the most inclusive water sports for all ages! In La Ventana / Cerralvo Bay you have miles and miles of terrain to kayak. This is a sport to do in the morning during windy season (April-Oct) or any time off windy season (April-Oct).
SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard)
Like kayaking, there is endless terrain to enjoy SUP. It does require a little more balancing but it is highly rewarding. In a light wind day, you can go for a downwinder to the end of the bay. SUPs can be rented from La Ventana Windsports or Captain Kirk's.
Scuba Diving and Snorkeling
The Sea of Cortez was called the "Aquarium of the World" by Jacques Cousteau for its incredibly rich ecosystem. Scuba diving can be booked with Palapas Ventanas or Captain Kirk's. Local snorkeling is best by the Bahia Los Sueños or Punta Arenas. You can also book a trip to snorkel with whale sharks in La Paz!
Fishing and Spearfishing
El Sargento is still a fishermen community so you can bet fishing is amazing! There are multiple business in the area that can set you up with a captain. Check out Fishing with Lalo or ask in LVBP Properties or in La Ventana Souvenirs.
